About Feed My Starving Children:
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s hungry children in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults in our community come together, regardless of race or religion, and we hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. These are shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world.
FMSC has 4 permanent warehouses; two in Minneapolis and two in Chicago, where volunteers come six days a week to pack nutritious meals for starving kids around the world. However, they also host MobilePack Events in various cities across the United States, which is what we are hosting again this year in Rocklin.
The MobilePack events rely on the support of the community to provide volunteers to actually pack-by-hand each of these meals, as well as to financially support the purchasing of the ingredients which go into each meal.
FMSC feeds orphans and malnourished children around the world, and also responds to global catastrophes. FMSC was able to donate meals to the devastated people in and around New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Within 24 hours of the Haiti earthquake, FMSC had 600,000 meals on the ground to feed the people affected by the devastation. Immediately after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, FMSC was able to ship over a half-million meals to the people of Japan to aid in feeding those without food and water.
